Arizona Adult Basic Education being highlighted on “Pima Comunity College Perspectives”, which is a radio program highlighting the programs and services that the College provides to students and the community. Click on the links below to hear the shows.

Jan. 25, 2011: Adult Education / Teaching Languages Online
Regina Suitt, Advanced Program Manager, discusses how Pima Community College Adult Education programs are an investment in the future economic development of the community. Also, PCC World Languages faculty member Dr. Dolores Durán-Cerda describes how online resources can improve instruction in languages.

“……right when people need this system the most, when we have the greatest need, because of the unemployment rate and because of what’s happening with the economy, that’s exactly when the state eliminated 100% of the funding.”

“…..over 800,000 people in Arizona do not have a high school credential. So, if we expect to recover, economically,bring business into this state with high‐paying, high‐skilled jobs, where will we find those workers? Well, some would say that we have them. We have 800,000 of them who need just a little lift, or a push, uh, to get into higher‐skilled occupations.”
