A visit the the State Capital in Arizona

Six GED students and graduates from the Arizona Association for Lifelong Learning traveled to the Arizona Capitol on Tuesday, February 2 to learn more about civics and state government, and meet with legislators to talk about GED and Adult Education in Arizona. They delivered 519 letters from Tucson adult students to legislators, and 163 student letters to the Governor. They met with Sens. Bob Burns, Jorge Luis Garcia, John Huppenthal, Linda Gray and Rep. Russell Jones. They also met with the Governor’s education policy advisor, Carla Phillips.
